NBA Free Agency 2013: Minnesota Timberwolves and Corey Brewer Meet
By Chris Roling
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in their fair share of NBA free agency speculation so far this offseason, but this latest bit of news if far from speculation.
According to a few different reports, representatives from the Timberwolves have met with free agent Corey Brewer. Darren Wolfson of ESPN has one such report via Twitter:
Wolfson says he does not know if anything is imminent, but Brewer is not receiving much interest elsewhere and the Timberwolves could certainly use his skills off the bench.
Brewer averaged 12 points per game last year with the Denver Nuggets and would slide nicely into the rotation in Minnesota with the likes of Chase Budinger and Shabazz Muhammad. He would fit well running with Ricky Rubio as well.
The Houston Rockets were another team that supposedly had interest, but we would be the Timberwolves make a stronger push.
