Oakland Raiders’ Charles Woodson leaps over offensive lineman to make tackle (GIF)

Despite being 36 years old, Oakland Raiders safety Charles Woodson still has it.
The eight time Pro Bowl selection and 1997 Heisman Trophy winner returned to the Oakland Raiders this season where he spent the first eight years of his career and he’s looking as spry as ever.
During Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Woodson knew he’d have a difficult time avoiding an offensive lineman running down field attempting to block for Jags running back Maurice Jones-Drew. The offensive lineman was already engaged with another Oakland defender (which he eventually pancaked) so Woodson, knowing he’d have a hard time keeping MJD out of the nearing endzone decided to put on his cape and pull his best Superman impression, leaping over the lineman.
It appeared the lineman was just starting to fall down as soon as Woodson began to leap over him, so he may have had a little easier time in his jump, but still – it’s quite impressive. And to tackle the powerful MJD in the process, all to prevent a touchdown?
Impressive.
