Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins final score: Dolphins win 27-23, move to 3-0

Miami Dolphins’ quarterback Ryan Tannehill completed 24 of 35 passes for 236 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, as his team held out for a 27-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Atlanta jumped out to an early 10-0 lead after a 7-yard pass from Matt Ryan to Jason Snelling in the 1st quarter and a 52-yard Matt Bryant field goal to start the second.

Miami scored on a Daniel Thomas 5-yard run to open up their scoring with 10 minutes left in the half.  The two teams would exchange field goals and the Falcons headed into the locker room at halftime with a 13-10 lead.

Matt Ryan connected with Levine Toilolo on a 2-yard pass to open the second half stretching the lead to 20-10, but the the Dolphins outscored them 17-3 to finish out the game — including two touchdown passes from Tannehill.

Jimmy Wilson intercepted a deflected Matt Ryan pass to end it, and the Dolphins are now 3-0 — the Falcons 1-2.

Matt Ryan ended up going 23 for 38 with 231 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception for the Falcons, while Jacquizz Rodgers rushed 18 times for 86 yards.  Julio Jones led the receivers with 9 catches for 115 yards.

Lamar Miller carried 8 times for 62 yards, and Brian Hartline caught 4 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown to lead the Dolphins.

Atlanta plays at home against 3-0 New England next Sunday, while Miami travels to New Orleans to play on Monday Night Football.
