The New England Patriots survived a last-minute scare from the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night, as they were able to hang on to the 30-23 lead and ultimately get the win. Atlanta used a late onside kick and crucial fumble from Tom Brady to get within one score and a final shot at tying the game, but Aqib Talib came up big and knocked away the pass that would have allowed to Falcons to tie it all up.

The two teams entered the half tied at 10 points a piece, before New England scored ten straight points to begin pulling away in the second half.

With the score at 30-13 with just over six minutes to go, it appeared that it would be all over with the Patriots taking a comfortable win, but the Falcons forced them to claw and fight their way to avoid the late letdown.

Luckily for the Patriots, the late Tony Gonzalez touchdown and Matt Bryant field goal was not enough to allow the Falcons to complete their comeback.

With the win, the Patriots advance to 4-0, while Atlanta drops to 1-3 to start the season.
