Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel was a late addition to the Week 4 NFL injury report with a thigh injury on Friday, and ended up missing the game against the New England Patriots, a game in which Tom Brady picked-apart the Falcons’ defense and left Atlanta licking their wounds with a 1-3 start to their season.
Brady shredded the Falcons defense to the tune of 316 passing yards and two touchdowns, and left them wondering if they’ll even make the playoffs after many pegged this year as “Super Bowl or bust”.
They’ll need to rebound this week if they want to have any hope of living up to their Super Bowl aspirations, and that begins Monday night against the New York Jets.
But they may once again be without their top corner, as Samuel didn’t participate n practice today:
#Falcons not at practice today: MLB Akeem Dent, LT Sam Baker and CB Asante. LB Paul Worrilow& RB Steven Jackson didn't have their helmets.

Rookies Robert McClain and Desmond Trufant will once again have to step-up if he doesn’t play.
