Earlier today, college football analyst David Pollack appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay and made quite a few waves when he suggested women shouldn’t be on the selection committee. This of course stems from the rumors that Condoleeza Rice will be named as one of the nine members of the College Football Playoff selection committee.

The suggestion didn’t sit well with GameDay’s Samantha Ponder (formerly known as Samantha Steele, wife of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder) who stated on Twitter that she was verbally assaulting Pollack on the bus and that he needed to make her a sandwich:

"Verbally destroying @davidpollack47 on the bus for his comments about Condi. Next, he makes me a sandwich."

A few moments later, Ponder tried to defuse the situation, suggesting that Pollack is certainly entitled to his opinion, though made sure to suggest that it was still wrong:

"For those asking, I’m glad @davidpollack47 gave his honest opinion. I respect his right to be wrong. 🙂"

Pollack tried to do some damage control after the show, saying that he wants people on the committee that eat, breath and sleep college football and that it had nothing to do with men or women.
