It’s been a season rattled with injury for Denver Broncos defensive back Champ Bailey, one that he had hoped to put behind him when he made his season debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6.
All went splendidly, though Bailey was quickly forced out of next weeks action against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7, though hopes to return in Week 10.
"Champ Bailey called the re-aggravation of his foot injury a “small setback.” He is hoping to return for Nov. 10 game after bye week."
The Broncos take on the Washington Redskins this weekend before entering into their bye week, so that would essentially give the talented defensive back three weeks of recovery time.
Bailey himself doesn’t sound overly concerned about the injury, though, given how he reacted after re-aggravating it and how long it took him to initially recover, it might be wishful thinking.
Either way, it sounds like Week 10 will be the target date for Bailey to return – at least as of right now.
