Backed up towards their own end zone, the Detroit Lions were hoping they could just put together a few nice plays so they could alter the field of play.

Alter the field of play they did.

After a fake to running back Reggie Bush, quarterback Matt Stafford looked across the field where he saw a streaking Calvin Johnson. Stafford hit Megatron in stride and from there, it was all down hill for the Pro Bowl wide receiver who hit the afterburners and took off.

Johnson, with a nifty move began running down the middle of the field with a handful of Dallas Cowboys giving chase. Unfortunately, Johnson couldn’t make it all the way to the house though as the Cowboys were able to bring him down just yards shy of a touchdown.

After the catch, Detroit was stuffed on three straight plays but decided to go for it on fourth down. Who else did they go to but Johnson, who hauled in his first (and well deserved) touchdown of the day.
