The NFL trade deadline has come and gone and the Cleveland Browns did not part ways with wide receiver Josh Gordon. They did make a trade deadline day move, they signed former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Armanti Edwards according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Edwards hasn’t made an impact this season for the Panthers and hasn’t recorded a catch this season. Disappointing considering head coach Ron Rivera labeled him the MVP of training camp. Joining the Browns reunites him with head coach Rob Chuzkinski, the Panthers former offensive coordinator.
In 2012, Edwards caught 5 passes for 121 yards. He also returned 12 kick offs for 260 yards.
