Despite being one of the best closers in baseball, Koji Uehara might not be the most popular Uehara in Boston. That honor would go to Koji’s son, Kaz.
The seven-year-old Kaz took the city by storm with his hilarious antics during the Red Sox’s American League Championship Series victory over the Detroit Tigers and even more so given his pre-game festivities during the 2013 World Series. Kaz was often seen on the field mimicking every move of his dad, including giving an interview to Fox’s Erin Andrews on Wednesday evening after the Red Sox’s Game 6 victory.
Andrews, well aware of Kaz’s popularity and desire to be a good interview asked the young Uehara how proud he was of his Father and how he was going to celebrate the Red Sox’s World Series victory.
His answers? Awesome.
There seems to be a little one always taking the spotlight in the World Series, be it
Marco Scutaro‘s children in 2012,
Dusty Baker‘s young boy in 2002 or Uehara’s son in 2013.
