The Atlanta Falcons are expected to take on the Carolina Panthers without wide receiver Roddy White. The Falcons are already short at wide receiver with Julio Jones shut down for the season. Losing Roddy White is a big hit to the Falcons pass game. On the season, White has 14 receptions for 129 yards in five games.

Earlier this week ESPN’s Vaughn McClure’s “Roddy said with a smile that he’s a game-time decision. Then he said it is going to be important for him to be out there Sunday.”

Falcons head coach Mike Smith was hoping that White would be ready to go. White has been running routes on the side with trainers throughout the week. Ultimately, it looks like he wasn’t cleared by doctors or the team decided to give him an extra week of rest.
