The Indiana Pacers continued their winning ways against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, though, the victory wasn’t as pretty as some expected.
The seven-point victory did include a handful of highlights, but an occasional lowlight, like the one provided by swingman Lance Stephenson.
With the Pacers guard/forward leading a fast break, Stephenson could be seen taking a quick glance over his shoulder as members of the New York Knicks began to close in. Stephenson likely noticed Paul George running the floor and given George’s impressive athletic ability, the Pacers swingman thought he’d likely cut in towards the basket and be in prime position for an epic alley-oop.
But George opted to leak out towards the arch, leaving Stephenson all alone in his attempt for an alley-oop. That lead an quite the amusing attempt, which featured Stephenson’s pass and nobody around to grab it.
The play just so happened to take place directly in front of the Pacers bench, who had the perfect reaction.
