The Minnesota Vikings were cautiously optimistic that their MVP running back would take the field against the Green Bay Packers this weekend, though, weren’t completely sure given Peterson’s groin issue.

Peterson himself though says not to worry. Even though the team has given him the questionable tag, Peterson plans to suit up and start:

"Adrian Peterson (groin) said nothing has changed and he still plans to play Sunday at Green Bay despite being listed as questionable."

The Vikings obviously have nothing to play for outside of pride and the last thing they want to do is cause further injury to Peterson (which groins can be notorious for), but the running back seems confident in his ability to play.

Peterson seems to be under the presumption that he’ll handle a full workload for the game, though, the Vikings will have final say. Regardless, it would take a pretty severe setback for Peterson to miss the game so expect to see him out there, tweaked groin or not.
