While the Denver Broncos won’t guarantee that starting running back Knowshon Moreno will play against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday, it does appear that Moreno is getting closer.

The running back suffered what was being referred to as a ‘deep bone bruise’ in the Broncos Week 12 matchup against the New England Patriots and was spotted in a walking boot and useing crutches after the game.

That lead to Moreno missing practice earlier this week and speculation that he would be unavailable for the pivotal AFC West showdown this weekend, but Moreno returned to practice on Thursday and reportedly was ‘moving better‘ after Friday’s practice. The same held true for tight end Julius Thomas and defensive back Champ Bailey as well:

"RB Knowshon Moreno, TE Julius Thomas, CB Champ Bailey moving better in practice today. CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie appeared limited."

There’s still no official word on the status of any of the players though the fluid movement can only be considered a positive sign for Broncos fans.
