Titans TE Delanie Walker likley to be inactive vs. Denver Broncos
By Bryan Rose
The Tennessee Titans aren’t exactly saturated in offensive weapons, so losing any player on the offensive side of the ball puts the Titans in an already iffy hole against the Denver Broncos.
But that’s likely to be the case this afternoon when the Denver Broncos host the Titans as Tennessee’s Delanie Walker is expected to be inactive for the Week 14 matchup:
"Not expecting #Titans TE Delanie Walker to play today vs Broncos"
Walker, who came to the Titans from the San Francisco 49ers has played a vital role for Tennessee this season, especially in the red zone.
The 29-year-old has hauled in five touchdowns this season, which is tied for fourth in the league among tight ends.
Assuming Walker is to miss the game as he deals with concussion-like symptoms, the Titans are expected to use some combination of Craig Stevens, Taylor Thompson and Visanthe Shiancoe. Or, as I like to call it, ‘yuck’.
Walker is averaging just shy of 40 yards receiving per contest, his first season in Tennessee.
