Kevin Love exploded for 29 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists, Nikola Pekovic had 30 points and nine rebounds and Kevin Martin poured in 22 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves (for the most part) cruised to an easy win over the red hot Portland Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard scored 36 points, dished out six assists, grabbed six rebounds and recorded six steals while LaMarcus Alridge scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Nicolas Batum scored 20 points.

It was a dominating first half performance from the Timberwolves, who built a 32-point lead in the second quarter. The Blazers cut it to 26 at halftime and even cut a 23-point fourth quarter lead to five in less than 10 minutes, but the Timerwolves made free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win. Although the Blazers didn’t get back into the game until the final minute, it could be a positive takeaway after they played far and away their worst basketball of the season in the first half.

The Timberwolves improve to 13-13 while the Trail Blazers fall to 22-5.
