Itās still a bit early in the game Monday night, but you can tell that the Atlanta Falcons went out to Candlestick Park with a purpose against the San Francisco 49ers.
After falling behind 3-0 early, the Falcons drove 80 yards on their first drive of the second quarter to take a 7-3 lead, shocking a lot of people in attendance, as well as those watching at home. The Falcons were expected by some to just roll over and die with their season just about over.
But, thatās not happening tonight and running back Steven Jackson is showing that.
After scoring that touchdown to give his team the lead, Jackson took a hand off on the next possession and came face to face with Donte Whitner.
Well, letās just say that things didnāt end well for Whitner on this interaction:

He may not have had the first year that some expected, but we were reminded on this play that Steven Jackson is still one of the more punishing runners in the game today.
