Denver Nuggets at Memphis Grizzlies final score: Grizzlies crush Nuggets 120-99
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Denver Nuggets 120-99 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. The Grizzlies improved to 13-16, and the Nuggets fell to 14-15.
The Nuggets led the Grizzlies by one point at the half, but Memphis outscored Denver by 14 points in the third quarter to take a commanding 85-72 lead.
To begin the fourth, Denver scored the first nine points to cut Memphis’ lead to eight points. The Grizzlies answered with an 11-0 run to lead 100-81 with 6:37 to go. The Nuggets could not stop the hot-shooting Grizzlies, and the contest would end in a 21-point Memphis victory.
Memphis top performers: Zach Randolph scored 20 points, collected six rebounds, and dished out five assists. Ed Davis netted 17 points, and Jerryd Bayless scored 15. James Johnson finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Mike Conley scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four assists. Mike Miller added 11 points, four assists, and two steals.
Denver top performers: Ty Lawson scored 20 points, dropped eight dimes, and stole the ball three times. He also turned the ball over six times. Wilson Chandler netted 19 points and grabbed four rebounds. Jordan Hamilton finished with 12 points, and both Nate Robinson and Randy Foye scored 11. J.J. Hickson added 10 points and six rebounds.
