St. Louis Rams remain committed to quarterback Sam Bradford
By Bryan Rose
The St. Louis Rams hold the second overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, putting them in a perfect position to draft a quarterback if they so desire.
But that doesn’t appear to be of interest to the Rams, who reiterated their commitment to Sam Bradford recently.
Per ESPN:
"As for what the Rams might do if they stayed put, Snead is predictably playing his hand close to the vest though he again made it clear the team is committed to Sam Bradford at quarterback. He did, however, acknowledge the Rams would look for help and depth at the position later on."
While they may look for ‘depth’, they certainly aren’t going to use the second overall pick on depth so it doesn’t appear the Rams will be in the market for a Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel or Blake Bortles. That of course assumes they keep the pick as rumors have hinted in recent days they are potentially open to trading it.
Regardless, it appears the Rams are committed to Bradford as their quarterback long term.
