After spending a year out of football, former Knasas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli has landed another job in football. The Atlanta Falcons made the announcement that Pioli had been hired over their official Twitter account early on Wednesday morning.

Pioli is most famous for his time with not only the Chiefs, but the time he also spent with the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick. It was in New England that Pioli made a name for himself but he wasn’t able to carry over the success he had in New England to Kansas City.

It’s not that Pioli was a bad general manager, he just failed to turn the Chiefs around as quickly as many thought he would. He did add some of the great defensive players that the Chiefs had on their stout unit this season, but his failure to figure out the offensive side of the ball as well as the head coaching situation ended up costing Pioli his job.

Chiefs fans don’t look fondly upon the Pioli years in Kansas City, despite the foundation he layer for Andy Reid’s current team, but he still seems to be a bright football mind and is apparently attempting to revive his front office career in Atlanta.
