I imagine as a celebrity or high profile athlete, if you attend a public event – say like an NBA basketball game, the last thing you want is a microphone shoved in your face.
But of course, once a sideline reporter sees you in the crowd you’re doomed, which is exactly what happened to Baltimore Ravens player Jacoby Jones.
Jones was in his home state of New Orleans last night taking in a Sacramento Kings – New Orleans Pelicans game and was asked to do an interview. He accepted – which may have not been the best choice considered Jones appeared to be relatively hammered.
The return man/wide receiver struggled to get through the interview and gave some really awkward and strange responses, but oddly enough the interview continued despite that.
Reporter: Has it been that long since the Super Bowl last year (asking if he hadn’t returned to New Orleans since the Super Bowl)?
Jones: ‘It’s been AWWKward, you know. I been like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Aight. I’m good.’
The oddities only grow from there.
