WWE Royal Rumble 2014: New Age Outlaws defeat Cody Rhodes-Goldust for WWE Tag Team Championship (GIF)

WWE Royal Rumble LIVE Sunday, January 26th 2014.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust took on the New Age Outlaws to open up the Royal Rumble line up with the WWE Tag Team Titles on the line. Road Dogg and Cody Rhodes started it off, Road Dogg had early momentum and yelled that this wasn’t his first rodeo at Cody. Then, Rhodes got the New Age Outlaws outside the ring with both Goldust and Rhodes flying out of the ring onto their opponents.

Then the pre-show went to commercial.

When we came back Goldust was on the ring being attended to by the official and the New Age Outlaws were in their corner waiting. Don’t know if that was planned or legitimate. Road Dogg tried to pin Goldust but he kicked out, then he went to work on Goldust. He got an elbow drop and then went for a pin again and Goldust kicked out after two.

Then Goldust pulled off this incredible move where he flipped with Road Dogg into a pin but he kicked out. Billy Gunn was then tagged in and got the upper hand quickly. He threw Goldust into the corner and went for a pin with Goldust kicking out again.

He threw them into the other corner and then they both collided in center ring and laid on the mat. It was one of those classic they both go to the corner moves. Cody came in and clotheslined Road Dogg a couple of times. Then Cody did the “Suck It” to Billy Gunn. He jumped over the top rope and landed a double missle kick. Rhodes reversed a move from Road Dogg into the Cross Rhodes and went for a pin but Billy Gunn interrupted.

Road Dogg was standing along the ropes and Gunn tagged himself in, but Rhodes didn’t know that. Gunn hit Rhodes with the “fame-asser” after he landed a move on Road Dogg. Gunn then pinned Rhodes to win the WWE Tag Team Titles and the New Age Outlaws are the new WWE Tag Team Champions.
