NFL player quit football because teammates caught him masturbating

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer seems like a pretty cool guy – so cool in fact, GQ decided to do a feature on the NFL insider.

Glazer, ripe with unique and odd football stories told a few during his interview with the magazine though one seemingly stood out more than others.

According to Glazer (via GQ), an unnamed NFL player once quit the league because during a film session, teammates allegedly caught him masturbating.

"“They have, like, a computer room where the guys can go study film. And somebody caught him. Pants right down, going to town. And I guess he caught wind that they were gonna make fun of him, and [snaps his fingers] gone. He quit football. Never went back. Man up, man! It’s not like nobody else does it!”"

Glazer doesn’t put a date on the occurrence and it’s unlikely the player was very good, though I imagine that would have been a difficult thing to live with in a locker room environment moving forward. Of course, the embarrassment was probably worth an NFL contract – minimum or not.
