If the NBA’s season ended today, the Charlotte Bobcats would be in the playoffs by the thinnest of margins as they currently are hanging onto the Eastern Conference’s eighth seed. Of course, they could improve their seeding as the season progresses but at 22-28, despite a potential playoff birth, the Bobcats just aren’t a good team right now.

That could change in the near future as Charlotte potentially owns three first round picks in the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft which has lead to some fans suggesting the team tank rather than deal with playing the Indiana Pacers or Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.

Guard Kemba Walker is having none of that talk however.

"“That’s ridiculous, as far as us tanking and getting a high draft pick. I don’t think we need any more (high) draft picks at this point.“I don’t see why we can’t make the playoffs. I think we have a great team and are playing great basketball. As long as we keep it up, I think we can. We go out each night with the mindset we can make the playoffs. We practice like we can make the playoffs.”"

In fairness, there’s not much else Walker could say and as a player, you want to make the postseason. But unless the Bobcats can find a burst and shoot up to the fifth or sixth seed to avoid a first round matchup with Indiana or Miami, do you become buyers or sellers at the NBA trading deadline?
