One of the most talked about players in the NBA when it comes to where he’ll sign in free agency is actually still under contract for another year and a half. Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star forward Kevin Love has been rumored to be going anywhere from New York to Los Angeles and even Oklahoma City, but he’s still under contract with the Timberwolves.

That’s something Love pointed out in an interview with Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune. Love stated that the discussions about his future have crossed his mind, but he wants to remain focused on winning right now rather than a year or two down the line.

"“Anything I say is going to be a misconception or be some sort of a headline. To me, it’s silly. Yeah, sure, it’s brought up. It crosses my mind. In a way, I just try to put that aside and it’s just a question that’s always going to be brought up. Really, I would love not to talk about it and focus on winning right now with the Timberwolves.”"

Love has always been a likable guy in that he doesn’t beat around the bush or gloss things up with typical basketball censorship. Everything he says could be preceded with ‘here’s the thing about that’, as he’s a no nonsense type of guy. He’s likely thinking very hard about his future, but as he stated, his immediate future is with the Timberwolves and it’s foolish to dream about winning in 2015 when he’s been wanting to win since he was drafted back in 2008.
