The Washington Wizards may finally be close to dealing for the reserve point guard they covet.
The Wizards have been desperate for a point guard since signing Eric Maynor to fill that role in the offseason. Maynor has been a disaster in Washington, averaging 2.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 9.3 minutes per game while appearing in just 23 games.
The Wizards have talked to the New York Knicks’ about Beno Udrih and kicked the tires on Jarrett Jack.
However, they have seemingly always come back to Andre Miller of the Denver Nuggets, who has had a falling out with the team and isn’t playing.
Denver, Washington talks serious on sending Andre Miller to the Wizards for Eric Maynor and Jan Vesely, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Wizards guard Eric Maynor probably won't end up in Denver in Andre Miller proposed deal.

Miller is averaging 5.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per game this season.
For the Nuggets, this seems like an easy sell if they can find a taker for Maynor. Vesely hasn’t panned out, but he is still just 23 years old and was the sixth overall pick of the 2011 draft. He is averaging 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season.
