The Green Bay Packers need some linebacker depth, which is why they’re apparently interested in Parys Haralson.

The veteran Haralson missed a portion of the 2013 season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle, though appears to be healthy and would provide solid insurance for the Packers linebacking core.

"One FA the #Packers are expected to consider is OLB Parys Haralson. Veteran pass rusher whom they were interested in when 49ers had him."

Unlike some of the premier names on the market, Haralson should come relatively cheap given his circumstances and age as he’s already hit the 30-year-old mark.

Haralson isn’t a splash by any stretch, but he’d be a solid addition that comes without much of a price tag.

The former San Francisco 49ers linebacker picked up 3.5 sacks last season in limited playing time and would likely backup Clay Matthews and Nick Perry, replacing the void left by Mike Neal.

Despite the original report above, Haralson isn’t really much of a true pass rusher but rather a more solid linebacker who at times can find his way to a quarterback.
