The Washington Redskins have made their interest in free agent safety Ryan Clark known, but it appears two other teams are interested in joining the potential bidding war.
According to USA Today, both the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets are interested in the free safety.
"“We’re just dealing right now,” Clark told USA TODAY Sports while attending the NFL Players Association’s annual player representative meeting. “We’ve got some interest from the Ravens, the Jets. We’re actually in negotiations with Washington as we speak. So, we’ll see how it goes.”"
It’s hard to tell if it’s legit interest given it’s coming from Clark directly as he could be attempting to increase his asking price by making the market seem more interested than it is in reality.
The 34-year-old has spent the past eight seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, though, was all but given his walking papers with Pittsburgh decided to throw down big change to safety Mike Mitchell, formerly of the Carolina Panthers.
