The Washington Redskins signed former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson to a contract, but quarterback Robert Griffin III is already wearing his No. 10 jersey. Jackson said that Griffin and him were discussing it and still working on finding a resolution.
“I definitely am familiar on the No. 10 [worn by] Robert Griffin,” Jackson said on a conference call with reporters, via Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington. “We’ve talked about it a little bit. But that isn’t a decision that’s been made yet so far.”
Jackson said they weren’t rushing and even suggested a new number Griffin might wear.
“Maybe by the time the season starts we’ll know,” Jackson said. “Maybe RGIII will wear No. 3 and I’ll try to get in [No.] 10. We’ll see how it goes, though. You never know.”
But according to Griffin he will be keeping the number in an announcement made on Twitter and Facebook.
