The Indianapolis Colts have a hole at free safety after Antoine Bethea signed with the San Francisco 49ers this offseason, so they figured to be in the race to sign recently waived safety Danieal Manning.
However, according to ESPN, the Colts have no interest in Manning, though that could change if the team struggles to fill their vacancy and Manning is still on the open market.
"Do the Indianapolis Colts have any interest in Manning? That’s a legitimate question considering the Colts lost Antoine Bethea to San Francisco three weeks ago and don’t have a clear-cut starter there yet.But the answer is no, the Colts do not have any interest in Manning. Not yet at least."
Manning is still a relatively talented defender despite his age and the fact he was given his walking papers by the Houston Texans late last month.
There has been a floating suggestion that he may be interested in playing for his hometown Dallas Cowboys and he’s already planned or has planned visits to the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals.
