It has been a rough season for first year head coach Brian Shaw and the Denver Nuggets.
The Nuggets have been a playoff team for the better of a decade, but with a record of 33-44, they have been eliminated from playoff contention this season.
Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post talked to Shaw about what kind of changes the team needs.
Good stuff from #Nuggets coach Brian Shaw when I asked if, given the massive injuries, roster change this summer is necessary.

Shaw: "I think there has to be some change. It doesn’t mean that we have to have a facelift and change everything." #Nuggets

Shaw says the #Nuggets need "need one or two players to come to the forefront as leaders." And those could come from free agents.

And Shaw says the #Nuggets need a perimeter "lock down defender."

Shaw: "So those couple of little tweaks or changes on top of what we have, I think we’ll be okay.” #Nuggets

Obviously, Shaw couldn’t come right out and say the team needed a complete overhaul and a big reason for the struggles is because the team has been decimated by injuries.
