There is no doubt the Atlanta Falcons will be targeting a running back at some point fairly early in next month’s NFL Draft.
The Falcons currently have two running backs on their roster -30-year old Steven Jackson and the 5’6 Jacquizz Rodgers.
Jackson rushed for only 543 yards and six touchdowns on 157 carries while Rodgers amassed 332 yards on 96 carries for the Falcons in 2013.
According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, the Falcons hosted a trio of running backs on Wednesday in former LSU Tiger Jeremy Hill, former Ohio State Buckeye Carlos Hyde and former Towson Tiger Terrance West.
Hill rushed for 1,401 yards and 16 touchdowns on 203 carries for the Tigers last season while Hyde carried the ball 208 times for 1,521 yards and 15 touchdowns and West set an FCS single-season record by rushing for 2,509 and 41 touchdowns on 413 carries last season.
