Seemingly every year, the New York Jets enter the NFL Draft as a wild card and that appears to be the case once again this year.
Although the Jets added Denver Broncos’ free agent wide receiver Eric Decker, Oakland Raiders’ wide receiver Jacoby Ford running back Chris Johnson, who was released by the Tennessee Titans and quarterback Michael Vick, who the Philadelphia Eagles let go of, they want to continue to upgrade at the skill positions.
One other player they reportedly covet is former LSU Tigers’ wide receiver Odell Beckham, but he likely won’t be available with the 18th overall pick.
However, the Jets have been known to trade up and according to Ian Rapoport, they could be looking to move up to draft Beckham.
Perhaps no wide receiver prospect has been on the rise of Beckham, who had 59 receptions for 1,152 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
