NFL Draft Rumors: Buffalo Bills trade talks intensifying?

The Buffalo Bills may end up being one of the most active teams come the first round of Thursday’s NFL Draft as their front office continues attempts to move up from the 9th overall selection.

We’ve already heard rumors suggesting that the Bills were doing everything they could to move up and now according to Chris Brown of Bills.com, general manager Doug Whaley says trade talks are intensifying.

"In the last 24 to 48 hours alone Buffalo’s talks with other NFL clubs has increased considerably.“It has definitely intensified,” Whaley told Buffalobills.com."

Buffalo has been on the hunt for a playmaker, one they’re likely to find come the early parts of the first round assuming they are to trade up.

If the Bills do make such a move and draft a wide receiver with the selection, it’s the belief of local radio station WGR 550 that fellow wideout Stevie Johnson could immediately be traded for additional draft picks. How likely that is to happen though is unknown as Johnson’s play and cap figure may put a dent into such a move.
