Brian Shaw says he will coach Denver Nuggets, not Knicks, next season
By Hayden Kane
The New York Knicks are struggling to fill their head coach vacancy. Even with the presumed appeal of having Phil Jackson in charge, the Knicks apparently have a long ways to go until they find their man.
Brian Shaw, currently the head coach of the Denver Nuggets and a longtime assistant for the Los Angeles Lakers, was linked to the job for a while due to his familiarity with the triangle offense.

The Knicks shot down that rumor earlier on Tuesday due to the cost of potentially trying to lure Shaw away from the Nuggets. In the interest of being thorough, I suppose, Brian Shaw confirmed on Tuesday night that he isn’t going anywhere.
Per Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post:
Denver general manager Tim Connelly also chimed in that he was comfortable that Shaw will remain with the Nuggets:
Shaw’s first season in Denver was largely a disappointment, though it is difficult to truly assess the work he did as head coach given the utterly terrible injury luck that befell the team.
There won’t be a lot of patience if the results don’t turn around for Shaw and the Nuggets in short order, however.
