Now, according to the Baltimore Sun, Rice plans on attending and participating in next weeks OTAs as he’s shown up to every voluntary workouts all off-season. Baltimore is looking to get back into the hunt for the AFC Championship after falling flat on their faces last season.
It was obviously Ray’s worst season of his career – finishing with 660 rushing yards on 214 attempts, averaging 3.1 yards per carry while finding the endzone four times.
Rice finished with over 1,000 rushing yards in his previous four seasons before the 2013 campaign. His biggest game of the year came against the Chicago Bears on November 17 where he picked up 131 yards on the ground off 25 touches. Chicago’s defense allowed some running backs who haven’t hit 100 yards on the ground in either games prior to playing them or in Brandon Jacobs case, years.
His touchdown totals on the year was his second lowest since his rookie season where he was unable to find the endzone at all. It was a rough stretch for the veteran half-back but he’s due to have himself a breakout year in 2014.
This question is for Baltimore Ravens fans – Do you think Rays will eclipse his 2013 totals or are his best days behind him?
