Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton doesn’t only hit towering home runs, he also is a proud American.

More from Miami Marlins

While many Major League teams will wear unique uniforms on this Memorial Day, the Miami Marlins were no different as they wore their traditional black threads with a camo-inspired script.

Along with that, the Marlins wore camo-inspired hats (as all teams are doing) but that wasn’t enough for Stanton who wanted to show off his pride in a different way.

How’s that, you ask? By wearing a full American flag arm sleeve.

Designed to keep your arm warm (something that basketball players like Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady made popular a few years ago), the arm sleeve is supposed to keep muscles loose and help prevent any injury/cramping.

We don’t see baseball players wearing them too often, though there are a few players like Stanton who will occasionally sport one.

In addition to the awesome sleeve, Stanton was also wearing red and white batting gloves which are a bit different from his norm as he usually opts for more traditional all black or white gloves depending on his uniform.

Fantastic way for Stanton to honor the armed forces and America in his own unique way.
