The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to rebuild themselves once again, but not all hope is lost that Kevin Love will return to the team in 2015 and help lead Minnesota to basketball immortality.

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

But the fact that he’s not really that interested in staying says a lot and the Wolves are yet again looking at an incoming draft class to try and heal their wounds and build for the future. It’s a deep class and Minnesota as the No. 13 overall pick to spend, and are brining in some pretty notable names for pre-draft workouts.

Wolfson also mentions that Arizona guard Nick Johnson could be on the Wolves draft day radar as well.

Minnesota needs scoring — badly — and they’ll need it even more if Kevin Love bolts in 2015 and leaves them without much of a threat beyond the perimeter. Johnson was a scorer at Arizona and Hairston already has technical NBA experience thanks to his time int he D-League with the Texas Legends. Both are considered to be picked after the Wolves are on the clock at No. 13 overall, but their interest could lead to a draft day swap that lands them someone they want and maybe some more insurance for the future.
