The Phoenix Suns made a big move in the 2013 offseason, making a move for former Los Angeles Clippers’ guard Eric Bledsoe.

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

Although Bledsoe missed 39 games because of injuries this season, he fit in very well with fellow guard Goran Dragic, which many questioned at the time of the acquisition. He averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. The Suns lost three of their last four games, which cost them a shot at the postseason, but they’re 48-34 record in the ultra-competitive Western Conference was impressive nonetheless.

The Suns, who reportedly pursued Los Angeles Lakers’ big man Pau Gasol, among others, before the 2014 trade deadline, would like to make a big move this offseason in honor to not only get into the postseason, but hopefully, with the continued maturation of their young core, become a legitimate contender.

One player they will likely make a run at is Minnesota Timberwolves’ power forward Kevin Love. Armed with future assets, including three first round picks in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Suns have the ammunition to make a move.

However, according to Dan Bickley of AZCentral.com, it would take a “miracle” for the Suns to land Love.

"Finally, do the Suns have what it takes to pull off a trade?Sadly, this is where Planet Orange appears doomed. The market will be full of motivated suitors. The Kings are reportedly willing to trade for Love without assurance he’ll stay in Sacramento. The Warriors have a few aces in their hand.It will take a hefty pile of assets to pull this off, and just like the failed James Harden trade, this is where the Suns likely come up short. They have a lot of draft picks, but none in the top 10. Their best offer includes picking their favorite point guard, and making the other the big name in a five-piece deal. This scenario also makes for a fabulous argument."

Love averaged 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game last season.
