NBA Rumors: Kevin Love spending his weekend in Boston
By Bryan Rose
While the Minnesota Timberwolves have stated they don’t plan to trade power forward Kevin Love, they also don’t want to lose their franchise player for nothing.

Love’s handlers have already stated that he’ll walk in free agency if he isn’t traded, so barring Love having a change of heart, it seems reasonable to assume that the All-Star will likely be traded at some point.
Multiple teams have expressed interest in Love, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. The Boston Celtics have also expressed interest in Love, a team which the former UCLA native is reportedly interested in playing for.
Oddly enough, Love is spending his weekend in Boston, taking in the sights and sounds of Beantown according to Dirty Water News (via Rotoworld).
“I’m here to just check out the city and see what it’s like” said Love.
Sure, it’s completely within reason to believe that Love is simply vacationing in Boston, though the timing is rather suspect given all of the surrounding trade rumors.
Love has reportedly been checking out a variety of tourist attractions while in town and plans to attend Sunday’s Boston Red Sox game before returning home.
There likely isn’t much to it, but I’d be hard pressed to believe that Love wasn’t checking out the city and people just a little bit in preparation if he is moved to the Celtics.
Still, of all the hot vacation spots in the world Love had to pick Boston? Right now, of all times? What a tease.
