Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel is going to give his arm a shot on the baseball diamond for the Cleveland Indians, per the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

More from Cleveland Browns

No, Johnny Football isn’t going to give a shot at becoming Johnny Baseball, he’s just throwing out the first pitch at Wednesday’s game against the Boston Red Sox.

Manziel and fellow Browns first-round draft pick Justin Gilbert will hurl the ceremonial first pitches prior to Wednesday’s game, which looks to fill up quickly in the stands for Cleveland.

It’s even “dollar dog” night at Progressive Field, so fans can come hungry for a hot dog and a glimpse at their latest quarterback selection.

With every move Manziel makes becoming news in the Cleveland area — heck, in the nation for that matter — the Indians probably saw this as an excellent opportunity to sell more tickets and a few extra beers.

Recently Manziel drew some criticism for spending the Memorial Day holiday weekend in Las Vegas partying with celebrities. It’s not like the Browns didn’t know what they were getting when the picked Manziel, and it probably won’t be the last time he draws the ire of those who expect him to suddenly become Manning-ish.

The Indians have the best home record in the American League at 17-11, but are below .500 overall with a 26-30 mark. They currently sit last in the AL Central, seven games back of division leading Detroit.
