NBA Rumors: Rajon Rondo didn’t try to sell Kevin Love on Celtics
By Bryan Rose
Late last week we learned that Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love was in Boston, simply ‘taking in the sights’. And while Love might have been enjoying nothing more than a typical vacation, he certainly picked an odd time to do it and the worst possible place if he wanted the rumor mill to quiet down.

The Boston Celtics have been one of the few teams continually linked to Love ever since his handlers reportedly suggested that the All Star would not re-sign with the T’Wolves after the upcoming season and that he’d like a trade.
Other teams like the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors have expressed trade interest in Love, but the Los Angeles native hasn’t spoken about his desire to play in either city, unlike Boston where a source close to Love suggested he’d be more than willing to play for the Celtics, citing the winning history of the franchise as a big draw.
Things only got more cluttered when Love decided to take in a Red Sox game with Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, though the former Kentucky Wildcat says he didn’t speak to Love for very long and didn’t make a sales pitch in the process.
Of course, being both Rondo and Love are under contract that would be tampering and players aren’t supposed to talk about such things so even if there was communication between the two, Rondo certainly isn’t going to admit it unless he wants to risk a hefty fine.
Still, it’s pretty difficult to believe the topic didn’t come up at some point between the two.
