The Toronto Raptors are going into the offseason with two large question marks at point guard. First off, can they re-sign Kyle Lowry? And second, what do they do with restricted free agent Greivis Vasquez?

After choosing not to move Lowry at the February trade deadline, the Raptors essentially made two decisions. First off, they were playing for the postseason and second, they felt comfortable enough that they’d be able to re-sign Lowry.
Rumors in recent days have suggested such to be true as Lowry is more than open to return to the Raptors, but that leaves Greivis Vasquez as the odd man out. Vasquez himself has stated a desire to return to the Raptors, like Lowry, but would prefer a bigger offensive role.
That’s something Vasquez has requested in both of his previous pit stops, New Orleans and Sacramento and both teams ended up moving the flashy point. So what about the Raptors? Do they follow in the same footsteps? It’s within the realm of possibility according to Steve Kyler who notes Toronto could move Vasquez in a potential sign-and-trade scenario.
“There is a chance that Vasquez is sign-and-traded if a real offer comes his way, especially if Lowry re-signs.”
Kyler notes this is only a scenario if the Raptors do indeed re-sign Lowry as they obviously don’t want to lose both of their point guards in one offseason and Vasquez isn’t likely to receive any absurd contract offer in free agency that Toronto would be unwilling to match.
