The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to enter a new era in the team’s history and that will seemingly involve digging into the past to bring back remnants of the past.

According to Jackie MacMullan of ESPNBoston.com, the Minnesota Timberwolves plan on offering Kevin Garnett not only a front office position when he retires from the game but also a minority stake in ownership in order to bring him back to Minnesota and get him back in the fold with Timberwolves basketball.

"When Garnett does finally retire, he is expected to be offered a place in Minnesota’s front office with an opportunity for part ownership."

This is either a really brilliant move to try and restore the roots of the Wolves or it’s a desperate attempt to cancel out the loss of Kevin Garnett by adding the first superstar who got fed up with the Wolves and left.

It’s hard to see Garnett being super excited to get back involved with the Wolves considering that he wanted out so bad thanks to the troubles he had with the front office. But should Garnett get control of the front office, or be promised such a role that could make him into a Larry Bird or Michael Jordan, then hem ay be up for that.

Either way, the Wolves clearly still lust after Garnett and will get him back even if they literally have to give him part of the team.
