While they’re not a market like Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles or New York, the Suns are a team on the cusp of being an incredible force in the Western Conference and that’s what Love is looking for.
The question is what the Suns would give up to land Love and it sounds like they’re putting together the best offer yet. According to Marc J. Spears from Yahoo! Sports, the Suns are willing to part with top assets like Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and their first-round draft picks to land Love in a trade.
So far, that’s the most appealing potential for an offer we’ve heard yet and it’s one the Wolves should consider seriously. Bledsoe wants a max deal, something that the Suns can’t give him if they acquire Love and give him a max deal — which is the only option when talking about acquiring him.
Phoenix could lump together it’s No. 14 overall pick and one or two of their remaining four first-rounders as well and present a package that the Wolves would be foolish to not consider. It’s far from a slam dunk offer, but the Suns are clearly going hard after Love and won’t take no for an answer.
