There have been some questions about former Kentucky Wildcats’ power forward Julius Randle and his future in the NBA.

More from NBA

Many have questioned his defense on the next level, but ultimately his productivity has won out in most cases and for some time, many believed he was a lock to be a first round pick. That, however, hasn’t been the case as of late.

The reason for the recent fall of Randle was potentially explained on Wednesday. According to both Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com and Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Randle has a foot injury that supposedly hasn’t healed correctly and could force Randle to have surgery, possibly keeping him out for up to two months. That, however, isn’t the worst part about the apparent injury. There are several teams that believe it could be a lingering issue that could come back to haunt Randle in the future.

Randle took to twitter to deny the reports.

Randle’s mother also denied the report.

Randle is ranked as the draft’s fourth-best prospect according  by Jonathan Givony of Draft Express . Randle, who measured in at 6’9″ and 250 pounds with a wingspan of 7’0″ at the NBA’s Scouting Combine, put up 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 50.0% from the field and 70.6% from the charity stripe.
