NFL Rumors: Ravens’ Ray Rice could be suspended more than six games in 2014
By Jack Crosby
As we’ve known for a while now, while Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice is in the clear as far as legal ramifications go stemming from the assault incident with his then-fiance, he’s not out of hot water with Roger Goodell and the NFL. A suspension will indeed be coming soon from the league, but for how long?
According to Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post, the suspension for Rice could be 4-6 games, however, there is a good chance that it might not stop at six.
Throughout his tenure, Goodell has liked to make an example of players or teams when they commit a heinous act, much like he did with the New Orleans Saints and the bounty scandal.

But, domestic violence is different, and Rice could pay the price by missing not only some playing time, but some paychecks as well this upcoming season.
On Monday it was reported that Rice and his wife did have a meeting with Goodell at his office in New York City, a meeting in which there certainly had to be some potential punishment scenarios thrown around.
