There isn’t really another player that embodies the term “inconsistent” quite like Eli Manning does. One minute he’s beating Tom Brady in Super Bowls and the next, he’s throwing a mind-numbing 27 interceptions. What’s worse for Eli is that he’s on the wrong side of 30 to be throwing up those kinds of numbers in the quarterback position. A team is only willing to swallow those kinds of numbers from a much younger quarterback who they still believe in. Getting shut out twice in one season is not a good look for Eli.

Eli is under some major pressure to improve in 2014 if he doesn’t want to be the first high-profile quarterback of the 2004 draft class to be released from his team to save salary cap room. Don’t think the Giants would do it? Watch him stink up the joint another season and you’ll find his cap hit to be a bit too much to handle as well.
