Bjorn Rebney was not an adored figure by his fighters in Bellator during his time with the organization. Whether it was Eddie Alvarez or Will Brooks discussing how difficult it is to deal with Bjorn, fighters continued to echo the same sentiment about their boss.

More from Bellator

Now that Rebney is gone, and Scott Coker has taken over as President of Bellator, more fighters are coming out and voicing their opinions of their former boss and promoter.

Former UFC and Bellator competitor, Ben Saunders, discussed just how much he disliked Rebney recently on The UG.

After creating a thread to discuss Rebney, Saunders shared that he had always disliked the former Bellator CEO. In fact, Saunders admitted that he was often campaigning for the folks at Viacom to fire Rebney.

“I actually take Pride knowing I might have had a little something to do with Viacom’s decision,” Saunders wrote. “At least I did what I could to let the people in charge at Viacom know that piece of sh** had to go! This was way before it actually happened. Yes! I did everything in my power to get his ass fired while still fighting for them.”

Saunders doesn’t complete hold ill will against Bellator, however, and he believes the promotion is in a much better place now that Scott Coker will be running the show.

“I do believe now that Viacom has Scott Coker their organization will be a much better place for fighters to venture to,” Saunders added. “Hell, I might even wear a Bellator shirt outside with pride now.”

To close things out, Saunders shared the motivation he had for his fastest finish inside of the Bellator cage.

When Saunders entered the cage, he imagined it was Rebney standing across from him and he handed down a world class ass-whooping.

“P.S. My fastest win in Bellator is because I was visualizing my opponent was Bjorn Rebney. That is 100% fact, No lie,” he wrote.  “I was furious going into that fight and even more furious that it ended so quickly cause I had so much RAGE to still unleash. You can even see it in my eyes and my reaction after the win.

“I literally scream out “F*** that Motherf***er! And it wasnt my actual opponent I was speaking about. It was my imaginary opponent, Bjorn Rebney, who I left with a shotgun wound to the face!”

Saunders left Bellator after losing to Douglas Lima via head kick KO at Bellator 100 back in September of last year.

He has not fought since then.
