Did Luis Suarez bite Italy player? (Photo)

There was an interesting incident during Uruguay’s final group stage game against Italy to determine who would advance out of the group. In the 80th minute of a scoreless draw, Luis Suarez was jockeying for position in the box with Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
It looked like Chiellini put his shoulder into Suarez a bit, and Suarez snapped by turning towards Chiellini and biting him. Chiellini went down to the ground, and Suarez flopped grabbing his face.
Chiellini pulled his shirt down to try and show the referee that he was bit and to bring about some consequence for Suarez, who got none during the game. But the question remains, did Suarez bite yet another player.
You can see a GIF of the biting incident here.
The answer is yes, Luis Suarez bit an Italian player. While the video was from far away and it is hard to tell whether or not he actually bit him, though it sure looks like he does in it, there have since been closer photos of Chiellini’s shoulder.
You can clearly see bite marks.
